This workshop is designed for students to watch each day’s demo’s, ask questions, and then work on fabricating, while still in the online workshop. I am also available by text all weekend, after workshop hours, to answer questions.
Skill Level:
The workshop is for intermediate metalsmiths with solid fabrication and soldering skills and a knowledge of metals studio safety procedures. A jewelry fabrication studio is required with basic metalsmithing tools and soldering equipment.
Workshop includes:
· 13+ hours of instruction, via ZOOM.
· Access to instructor, via text during the weekend after ZOOM workshop hours.
· Kit - it will be an extra cost
· Detailed PDF of instruction and steps.
· Code for wholesale account with Rio Grande Jewelry Supply
· 2 optional follow-up ZOOM meetings on consecutive Thursdays, 1 hour each, see below
· A private Facebook group just for participants of the box clasps workshops
· Access to the demo recordings for 6 weeks after the workshop
Office hours:
For 2 weeks-after the workshop, I will have “office” hours where you can come into a ZOOM meeting to ask questions etc. Participation is optional. I will email participants the ZOOM link.

Your favorite solder-stop--- you only need one:
•Quick Dry Wite-Out, with foam brush – (from office stores), my favorite, toxic in the fumes-use with exhaust fan on < my favorite
•No-Flo – Rio 504080 – dust has silica in it, but you use it wet. I use one of these bottles to keep it in and use it. Pack of 4 60cc (2 Ounce) HDPE Bottle with Graduated Markings, Childproof Cap, Mix Ball and Touch-Up Brush Amazon: https://tinyurl.com/4fv3asxt
•Ochre - from Rio - low toxicity but I’ve never liked it or use it
METAL:
*Sterling silver, 22 gauge sheet, for side walls -- at least 3.5” long X 1’ minimum, will be cut into 4mm or less wide strips
*Etched or patterned sterling (24-22 gauge) for top and bottom decking—minimum 1.5” x 2.5”
NOTE: if you roller print it be sure it lays absolutely flat after printing, no warps

Kits are mailed out apx 2 weeks before workshop.
Cancellation Policy: Full Refund (excluding Kit, unless it is returned) up to 14 days prior to class start date, shipping of $9.30 and transaction fees apply. No Refunds after that date unless the spot is filled.
KITS:
Kits will be mailed USPS when you have paid for the class & kit cost, and signed liability waiver.
Please give me plenty of time to have kit shipped to you.
